Today is Calista’s first day of Kindergarten! She woke up excited — Time for school! I get to wear my new clothes! Will I have homework?
It quickly went downhill from there.
She cried when I did her hair, whined about breakfast and didn’t want to eat, was grumpy, sassy and generally bratty most of the morning. Then she was crying, saying she was going to be scared, she wanted to stay home, etc, etc.
However, by the time we got her out the front door, her mood was remarkably improved and she did great when we got there. I took her in to school and down to her classroom and Mrs. R showed her where to put her backpack, sweater and lunch bag. Then she went into her classroom and got her name tag and headed off for a story.
I went out into the hall and did some snack sign up, and before I left, I peeked in and she was sitting with two other kids and looked like she was having fun. Hopefully, she will have a great first day!
She is very excited about getting homework, too… we’ll see how excited she is about it once she knows what homework is!
Enjoy…

August has been one crazy month here in the Cronck household. The boys are growing, getting more comfortable with each other, climbing and crawling all over the place, and tormenting Calista.
It has been a warm month, so you get to see a lot of naked butts. Hope you don’t mind :)
Nate fell off our bed early this morning (or did Sommer hip check him in her sleep - I’ll let you decide) and has a hair line fracture on his radius and ulna on his lower right arm. Time for us to get some bed rails because both boys have tumbled off the bed one too many times. Good thing these boys are tough like thier Dad!
Enjoy the pictures!

August has been one crazy week. Sommer has been working non stop for her ACG conference (or so she says…more like surfing for porn, I’m sure) so life has been a little hectic lately. We just got back from Seattle after spending 4 days in a great big suite at the Seattle Waterfront Marriot. The boys terrorized the place…Ace only pooped on the carpet once!
While Sommer was out working me and the kids did a little sight seeing Thursday, and then on Friday we all went to the Aquarium and the headed to Alkai beach. Overall, I think the kids had a great time in Seattle. The drive home was another story :)
Mom and Dad survived and are well on their way to catching up on sleep.
Hope everyone is having a great summer!

I’ve uploaded some pictures from just around the house and day-to-day stuff, as well as a few from our day at the fair today. Calista rode the rollercoaster and had a blast, and she rode the merry-go-round, went in the fun house, and won a stuffed frog at the duck pond (after mom doled out $8 for trade ups). As always, enjoy!
